Sunday, December 21st - 10:30 AM Message: When the Last Come First Speaker: Erin Wildsmith Though the OT prophets hinted that God’s salvation would defy expectations, many in Israel continued to hope for a Messiah altogether different from Jesus of Nazareth. In fact, many of the defining characteristics of Jesus’ ministry and person were in direct opposition to the type of salvation Israel, an oppressed ethnic and religious minority, felt they needed. Even those closest to Jesus sometimes expressed disappointment or frustration when Jesus refused to usher in the kind of military victory they were looking for.
Perhaps we can relate to their disappointment when God does not act as we expect him to. Yet in the unmet expectations, there is an invitation: to encounter how Jesus, while perhaps not the kind of Saviour we were looking for, turns out to be exactly the Saviour we need. OTHER WAYSTO GIVE

Let It Be Christmas is an enjoyable event for all ages and one of the best Holiday shows in K-W. This is a free concert but seating is limited. Indwell is a Christian charity that creates affordable housing communities that support people seeking health, wellness and belonging. There will be an opportunity at the end of the performance for anyone who wishes to make a donation directly to Indwell (tax receipt-able & no obligation).
